Garibnath Temple, Muzaffarpur : The Garibnath Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine located in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. This historic temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and is often referred to as the Deoghar of Bihar. Pilgrims from various regions visit this place. According to an ancient belief, approximately 500 years ago, a thick forest existed in this area, at the center of which stood seven Pipal trees that people began to cut down over time. When one of the trees was severed, a red liquid resembling blood would ooze from it. At present, six of the trees have been felled a tree remains in that location. It is believed that the landowner experienced a dream of Lord Shiva, and the spot where Lord Shiva manifested still holds his presence today in the form of a linga. There is a 500-year-old well inside the temple premises from where people take water and offer it to the Linga of Lord Shiva.
